Busy Busy Busy!

So I realized that we have been so busy this week that we hardly took any pictures. So I guess I will mostly give everyone an update on what has been keeping us busy (besides just having 2 little kids which in and of itself can keep us very occupied).

I have been working a ton at work on research for my thesis.  I just finished up doing a lot of friction stir welds in aluminum and hope to run all of my welds in steel before Thanksgiving.  In order to do this I have been busy crunching out stats for my design of experiments and trying to prepare the plates for welding in addition to working on a class and helping out my coworkers. I then hope to try and have a draft of my thesis by Christmas, it may be slightly crazy but it will be worth it to get that much done by then.  That will allow me to focus on my last two classes and on getting a job next semester.

Here is a cute picture after a bit of my techno babble.
I just love my two little ones (despite them not being as photogenic in this picture).

As for Kim she has been trying to stay afloat in some of the housework (which is difficult with William coming in right behind here dumping each toy basket she fills.)  On top of being an excellent wife and mother of 2, she is also trying to get classwork done for independent study classes so she too can graduate in April.  This is getting slightly more bearable as our kids are finally settling down in to some type of routine, mostly in the fact that they are sleeping more.

I love this picture. I really do try and get more pictures of her but it can be difficult.  With how much we are trying to do I tend to get kid duty when I get home and let her have some study time.

As for the munchkins....

They love to keep us on our toes, well William at least.  He just keeps growing up and is using more and more words, phrases and sounds.  It is so much fun to watch him grow.  He just loves his sister, especially in giving her hugs and kisses.  At times it is difficult to get him to listen or be gentler with Elizabeth, but he is 2. We love him lots and he always finds ways to make us laugh.

Elizabeth is now 6 weeks old.  She has been much more alert and awake, although many times she just doesn't know what to do with herself which results in little cries and grunts and other baby noises.  She has been eating and growing a ton.  She is probably close to or over 11lbs now (she weighed in at 10lb 9.5oz last Monday).  She has been giving the cutest smiles (and scowls, especially when William is a bit too smothering).  We all love her SO much.

Until next week...
